Hi Waltz,

16:00 Saturday will be fine with me. We can incorporate the basic check ride, which involves navigation and basic procedures. No pressure, it's very straight forwards.

I'd like you to join Tim and Mike as the first pilots to go through the new syllabus with me if that's OK with you. I'm interested in knowing what you guys think about it, and help be make it something useful to you.

Welcome to RAF Air.

Yup happy to help out on that, do you have any documentation that needs reading before hand?

You'll find links to all the leaflets in the first post on each thread... Have a look at the SOPs for 74 Squadron... viewtopic.php?f=137&t=627

They have been adopted by all the other units now.

I'll be talking you through everything you need to know, but we will be trying the overhead break... viewtopic.php?f=137&t=543

We don't use ATC procedures to begin with, but the Comms and voice procedure leaflet and brevity codes leaflet will give you an idea of what's involved later...
viewtopic.php?f=103&t=441
viewtopic.php?f=103&t=378

Another useful read would be the items on how to book a flight and file a PIREP...
viewtopic.php?f=103&t=210
viewtopic.php?f=103&t=211

It's a lot to take in, but I'll talk you through the essentials.
