Tuesday 19 June 2018

Gents,

On the 14th June 36 Years have passed since the end of the Falklands war, if you are all in agreement I would like us to run the Falklands mission that I have amended for our use.

If this is acceptable I will place the mission into our drop box ready for this flight.

Lest we forget the 255 UK Armed Forces personnel and 649 Argentine Armed forces Personnel who lost their lives during this conflict.

We can certainly dedicate an evening session to that Trevor. How many aircraft are available, and what type?

The mission has:

6 X A10C
8 X F-18C
10 X Harrier
2 X Viggen
2 X Mi8
2 X Huey
2 X Gazelle
2 X KA 50

For this mission to be successful we will need at least these assets:

Cap of some form, either Harrier, F18 or the viggen. The more the better.
At least one flight of A10C's
and one recon group consisting of 1 X Gazelle and 1 X KA50

Bu**er... I can't make this as I'll be down in Ascot losing my money on the Queen's horses. Would have been amazing to be part of this!!

Initially targets are no further than 20Nm away.

If the mission is a go I will explain all on Tuesday night.
