No Jack, it is a straight replacement for one of the texture files.

It will however mean that in low light conditions you'll get a better view through the HUD glass when running in on targets, and a clearer view of the deck when trapping.

I'd recommend setting it up using JSGME or similar, or having the two complete file structures, one with and one without, so they can be substituted easily.
